ABOUT ME

My name is Nadiya Farrington, and I am thrilled to have you here. I recently graduated from the esteemed Cornell University, where I pursued a major in Architecture and a minor in Film. With a passion for creativity and visual storytelling, I am embarking on a fulfilling journey towards a career in production design for film and television.

Throughout my time at Cornell, I delved into a diverse array of design projects, spanning from grand-scale architecture to intricately detailed theater set designs, as well as contributing to various student short films. This exposure has allowed me to develop a keen eye for aesthetics and a strong understanding of how design elements intertwine to create captivating visual narratives. While at Cornell, I was awarded with the Michael Rapuano Memorial Award for Distinction in Design.

My experiences in the industry have been just as varied as my academic pursuits. I have held roles as an intern at a film comission office, a video editor, a projectionist, a props apprentice, and a graphic designer, each role contributing to my versatile skill set and further fueling my passion for bringing stories to life on screen.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I lead an active and fulfilling life. When I'm not immersed in the world of design and film, you can find me engaging in my favorite hobbies. I have a great love for playing volleyball, cooking up delightful meals with my friends, and immersing myself in the vibrant energy of live concerts.

I am eagerly looking forward to advancing my skills, embracing new challenges, and carving a successful path in the realm of production design. Thank you for joining me on my journey.
